Statues and Heroes

Statues and heroes.

Can we please unite the beautiful masculine and feminine and put up new statues that honor them both?

My initial reaction has been of joy in the removal of these statues of conquerors and slave traders.

Yet to many these have been the men they looked up to for striving to provide and bring prosperity to their tribe in whatever ways were acceptable at their time in history.

Now that we are fighting to change what is acceptable, breaking through into being a larger outrageously loving collective, it's being replaced in my heart with this dream that we can find art and sculpture that depict the deliciousness of all of us.

Or is it time to stop trying to deify ourselves and just plant trees?
